ABOUT

I am a fully qualified Systemic & Family Psychotherapist based in St Helier, Jersey.

I have been practicing for over 20 years; after completing my BSC degree in Psychology I specialised in Systemic and Family Psychotherapy.

My work has involved working with children, families and adults in a variety of settings such as CAMHS, Charities, Courts and Private Practice.

In CAMHS I worked with children up to the age of 18 and their families, with a variety and complex problems, such as suicide, self-harm, depression, anxiety to name a few.

In the Charity sector I was the Clinical lead of FIT (Family Intervention Team); This project delivered Early intervention to families with children and young person age 0-25 years; where there are identified and emerging needs such as emotional and behavioural difficulties, school concerns and difficult intergenerational family relationships, as well as offering support to families with complex interconnected matters, often exacerbated by poverty, mental health and or substance misuse.

As part of my private practice, I was appointed by the Courts to assess families where the children were at risk of being removed, as well as offering therapeutic interventions. I also, as part of adoption process offered therapeutic interventions.

In my private practice I endeavour to offer a safe space for families, children, couples and adults to explore their difficulties and create change.

I have also experience of translating in clinic setting English/Portuguese/English and at times work as PAT Therapist by bringing my dog to therapy.
